Andrew Johnson (1808 - 1875)

Term of Office :- April 15th. 1865 - March 3rd. 1869

Andrew Johnson was one of the most unfortunate of the Presidents. His limited abilities as a conciliator were completely inadequate to cope with the harsh political climate after the Civil War. Misunderstood, Johnson was impeached and nearly removed from office.

 

 

 

Brother Andrew was a member of Greenville Lodge No. 119 Greenville Tennessee.

He was initiated May 5th. 1851.

And became a member of Nashville Commandery of Knights Templar No.1 in 1859.

He received the Scottish Rite Degrees in the White House in 1867.
