Nobel Prize Winner, Author  and  Painter.

 

 

 

 

Probably the Worlds most famous Free-Mason. He requires no introduction from me.

Brother Winston was a member of Studholme Lodge No.1591 London.

 

Initiated:- 24th. May   1901.

 

Passed:-  19th. July     1901.

 

Raised:-  25th. March 1902.

 

He won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1953.

 

Stamps Issued:- Such is the esteem in which Brother Winston is held almost every  country in the world has honoured him on stamps.

 

Please  Note  it  is  often  reported  that  Sir  Winston  was  raised  in  Rosemary  Lodge No. 2851  London  probably  because "Denslows  10,000  Freemasons"  got  it  wrong  and many  copied  his  error.
