Sir George Cathcart No. 617

                     Charitable Work

At lodge SGC 617 we try to do a lot for local and national charitable organizations through various fundraising events. Over the years we have managed to raise a significant amount of money but we couldn’t do it without the continued support of generous local business and the dedication of the lodge brethren.

Well Done Bro. Willie Hamilton

Bro. Willie makes a regular collection for Scottish Masonic homes in his now famous “Black Bag” He circulates during our harmonies, puts on his “begging face”, shakes his black bag, and asks for a few coppers.

Last month Willie donated £93 he had collected.

(Yes I know I have shown a green bag Willie does not allow anyone else to use his Black Bag)
