50th Anniversary of The Grand Lodge of India
Although Freemasonry in India can be traced back to the early 1700s the Lodges had operated under charters from The Grand Lodges of Scotland, England, and Ireland, However after India gained independence, Lodges in India decided to form their own Grand Lodge. This was done and G.L. of India was consecrated on 24th November 1961 at New Delhi
Issued on November 25th 2011 to honour the 50th Anniversary of The Grand Lodge of India. This is the first “pure Masonic stamp” issued by India |
