Freemasonry in the Balkans” meeting in Sozopol
The Pearl of Sliven Lodge, Orient Sliven and Veritas Lodge, Orient Sofia of UGLB organized a three-day joint Masonic meeting, titled “Freemasonry in the Balkans” on 18, 19 and 20 May in Sozopol.
The program included presentation of the book “The Light of the Balkans” with the special participation of the author, WM Bro. Velimir Bata Zugic, Past Grand Inspector of the Regular Grand Lodge of Serbia (RGLS) and Past Master of Europe Lodge.
Another highlight was the presentation of the documentary “Brethren in Arms” which told about how Brethren, Masons from Bulgaria, restored a Bulgarian military cemetery in Bitola with the participation of Past Grand Tyler of UGLB.
An active part in the event took the RW Grand Secretary of UGLB and W Masters of the Lodges: Phoenix, Vedar, Kabyle, St. Kliment Ohridski, Brethren from the same Lodges and from the Lodges: Morska Zvezda, Acacia and Tsarevets.
