I have in my possession a Grand Lodge Certificate. The initiate's name is George William ADAMS and his initiation was 5 March 1877. He would have been 30 years old. I think the Lodge is called Masonic (?) Lodge No. 623, from Armagh. A search online suggests this Lodge is no longer in existence. Would any one know if this is true?
Sure there could be some historical interest in keeping it.
Would any member of Grand Lodge of Ireland be interested in receiving it?

I am a final year student at UCD architecture and I have chosen to do my dissertation on the origins of Liberty Hall, Dublin, Ireland. My intentions are not necessarily on the current building but on what preceded it, The Northumberland Hotel. I see by your website that there was a meeting held there by Lodge No. 171 in 1844. There is also an association with Daniel O'Connell, who was lodge member and I was curious to see if a Mr. John Charles Joseph (listed as the proprietor in 1846) was a lodge member? Classon & Duggan were the builders of this hotel and I thought that perhaps they too might have been members. I am essentially attempting to connect the political climate with this specific location and whether or not the people involved could be connected back to that.

I would very pleased to make contact with VW J. Edward Brownell. My wife and I are travelling to Ireland (arriving 25 Aug) and will be in Dublin 31 Aug - 4 Sep. My great-grandfather was William Darlington Brownell, who immigrated to the US in 1866. I would like to try to learn as much as possible about the Brownell's in Dublin and County Meath. William's parents were John Francis and Alicia Darlington Brownell, he of Stackallen, she of Windy Arbor, Taney, Dublin. They are buried at Deans Grange Cemetary, Blackrock. While in Dublin, we are staying at the Ariel House B&B, Landsdown Road. I greatly hope we can meet. Fraternally Yours, John

I am satisfied with the information posted on your website. My interest specifically was to learn something about the Freemason because it has been a subject to discussion in my country many people linking it with satanic beliefs.. However, I am glad to read from your website that being a member of the society one needs to be of high moral personality hence... This to me remove my worries linking the society with setanic beliefs

I have a very close connection with my Irish ancestory. My great, great, grandparents came form Ireland I believe from the town/village of Cork. Some Irish people from the mainland think we are half-ass Irish Americans but in the world of Freemasonry we are nothing more than Brothers with a common goal. Making life better for our Brethren, our community, our families, and friends. I'm just dropping by to say hello from the U.S. and we are thinking of our Irish Brothers. I'm visiting sometime in the near future and would like the permission to visit a Lodge in Ireland. Thank you, Dave Maloney.
