For more than a decade Freemasons' Hall has been available as a location for film and television productions and for photographic shoots.
Television work has run from Poirot and Jeeves and Wooster, through one-off dramas, including the award-winning Churchill: The Gathering Storm with Albert Finney and Vanessa Redgrave, Shackleton with Kenneth Branagh and The Lost World; advertisements and pop promo videos including Westlife's Mandy, to appearing in every episode of the popular BBC series Spooks, Hustle, the recent Richard Curtis TV Film Girl in the Café and the new Stephen Poliakoff TV series Friends and Crocodiles.
Feature films include Wings of a Dove, Cody Banks 2, Johnny English, The Saint, The Life and Death of Peter Sellers, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Basic Instinct II: Risk Addiction starring Sharon Stone and the upcoming Penelope starring Reese Witherspoon. We were also used as the backdrop for the 2006 Aquascutum campaign starring Pierce Brosnan.
Freemasons' Hall is the perfect setting for a range of events including product launches, fashion shows, conferences, drink receptions and dinner dances. With previous events including parties for the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy film premiere, King Kong film premiere and Monty Python's Spamalot opening night party, it is a venue with an established and well respected reputation.
In 2003, 2004 and 2005 Freemasons' Hall was nominated by the industry as one of the top London locations for availability, accessibility and services offered to film makers. In 2005 we successfully hosted events for London Fashion Week and the Lancome Design Awards. In 2006 we hosted the Julien MacDonald Fashion Show and the Alternative Hair Show.
