The original guide book to the Knights Templar Church in London has been re-published for the first time in 100 years and is available from the Grand Lodge of Scotland online shop.
This guide book was published in 1907 and is the most comprehensive guide to the church which is readily available. However, this book is more than a simple guide book - it is a comprehensive account of the church, its decoration, contents and history. In addition there is a history of the medieval Order of Knights Templar and an account of what happended to the church after the Templars were suppressed in 1312. The history of the church to the present day is also provided.
The Knights Templar Church of London was a key location, like Rosslyn Chapel, in novel: The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. For all the fans of the novel and subsequent movie this book provides a wealth of information about the church which is not available elsewhere.
This second edition is published by the Masonic Publishing Co. Ltd. and is an ideal companion to The Illustrated Guide to Rosslyn Chapel which is also available from the Grand Lodge of Scotland online shop. These two books are likely to be a 'must have' for all those who enjoyed The Da Vinci Code and wish to learn more about the locations in the book and movie.
