At the Installation Meeting of Lodge Peace and Concord, No.445, on Saturday, 9th December 2006 Brother David Marsano, was Installed as Master of that Lodge.

The Lodge consider this to be a singular honour as Brother Marsano will bring a lifetime of Masonic experience to the position. He has been a Freemason for more than 78 years ('we kid you not' as they say in Scotland). Brother Marsano is well and very fit and there is no reason to doubt that he will serve the Lodge for many years to come.

The ages of the three oldest members of the Lodge, including Brother Marsano, total 270 years and together the three have a combined service of 171 years to Freemasonry.

Adressing the Lodge at his Installation, Brother Marsano said: 'This honour has been granted to me and I have arrived at the conviction that this is due to the fraternal feeling and Brotherhood for a centenary comrade'.

The Grand of Scotland is delighted to report this significant event and hopes that all concerned have a healthy and wealthy New Year.

Brethren of Lodge Peace and Concord, No.445, Lima, Peru

Historical Note: Lodge Peace and Concord, No. 445, was granted a Charter by the Grand Lodge of Scotland in 1865. At that time it met in Calloa but now meets in Lima, Peru.

I am especially delighted to see that Brethren of the Lodge are conforming to the Scottish Masonic practice of wearing the Masonic apron under the jacket (Ed.)
