History was made at Stirling's Albert Halls last week when the Grand Lodge of Antient Free and Accepted Masons of Scotland had their assembly - the first time the Grand Lodge had met outwith Edinburgh.

It was felt by the Provincial Grand Lodge of Stirlingshire suitable to commemorate this historic occasion by the presentation of a commissioned painting depicting a local Masonic landmark, the Christie Memorial Clock at Allan Park. The duty of presenting the painting was given to Lodge Ancient Stirling, No.30.

The Stirling Observer.

The above report is a little inaccurate in that it incorrectly states that this was the first time the Grand Lodge of Scotland had met outside Edinburgh. (Ed.)
