The year 2011 is the Centenary of the laying of the Foundation Stone of Freemasons' Hall, 96 George Street Edinburgh, and is also the 275th Anniversary of the formation of the Grand Lodge of Scotland.

To celebrate these significant events a Ceremony of Rededication of Freemasons' Hall will take place on Saturday 9th April 2011 at 11:00 a.m. to be followed by a buffet lunch at Murrayfield Stadium.

On the evening of Friday 8th April a formal Dinner Dance will be held in Freemasons' Hall and on Sunday 10th a Ceremony of Thanksgiving will take place, also in Freemasons' Hall.

Whilst the Ceremony of Rededication on the Saturday morning is for all Master Masons the Buffet Lunch following the meeting will be open to friends and family, and the Grand Master Mason hopes that Brethren will take this opportunity to celebrate with family and friends this significant milestone of the Scottish Craft. There is ample car parking facilities at Murrayfield Stadium and courtesy coach transport will be available from and to Freemason' Hall. Any Master Mason in good standing in the Scottish Craft is entitled to make application, through his Lodge Secretary, for tickets to the Buffet Lunch. The price of the lunch ticket will be £25 per person. (including VAT and wine but exclusive of any other beverage).

Please note that Brethren in possession of a ticket for the Buffet Lunch are given priority in admission to Freemasons' Hall before 10:30. Thereafter, if space allows, Qualified Members of Grand Lodge, on production of their Membership Card, and Visiting Brethren who have been vouched for and provided with a Visitor's Ticket, are admitted.

The Dinner Dance on the Friday evening is also open to all members of the Scottish Craft in good standing to apply for tickets through his Lodge Secretary. The price of the ticket will be £75 per person and will include VAT, Dinner and wine, and dancing to a ceilidh band. Attire will be formal, Dinner Jacket or Highland Dress. As space in Freemasons' Hall is limited it is anticipated that this event will be oversubscribed and early application is recommended.

The Ceremony of Thanksgiving on the Sunday will commence at 11:00 a.m. to which all Brethren and their families are welcome and will be followed by light refreshments in the Lower Hall.
