The Art Friends of St Columba's Hospice Exhibition has been held for 27 years.

Held in Freemasons' Hall each in June (5 - 8 June this year) this provides a wonderful opportunity to view and purchase original art work and at the same time support St Columba's Hospice at the same time. But you have to be quick! Some of these paintings, drawings and sketches are very well executed and many of the artist's works are much sought after.

As many of you will know St Columba's Hospice provides palliative care for those with cancer.

In addition the Provincial Grand Lodge of Edinburgh featured in St Columba's Hospice's spring edition of its magazine - 'Life - Making Every Minute Count' showing the presentation of a cheque for £35,000.00 by the Provincial Grand Master, Ewan Rutherford. The text reads:

'Edinburgh Masons support St Columba's Hospice. Grateful thanks to the Provincial Grand Lodge of Edinburgh who presented a cheque for £35,000.00 to Lesley Christie, Director of Fundraising and Martin Lowlor, Senior Fundraising Manager at St Columba's Hospice. This marked the end of a huge fundraising initiative by the Masons' who are long-term supporters of the hospice'.
