Lodge History
The founders were mainly unattached masons living in Orkney, and they selected the name President partly because it was spelt the same in both official languages. The Lodge got off to a good start, with a steady supply of candidates and joining members, although losses through deaths and transfers kept the membership fairly small. In 1971 to Lodge moved from Orkney to the Masonic Centre at Adamayview in Klerksdorp. Initially it maintained its earlier momentum but in recent years its membership has declined to a dangerous level, and its future is under active consideration.
