The Board of General Purposes in one of their meetings had proposed to the District to initiate a reward for the best performing Lodge within the District. The Board had also suggested criteria based on which the Lodge could be selected. The  main attributes would be – Good governance of the Lodge, Support to the District in terms of fulfillment of obligations, Effectively Imbibing the principles and tenets of Masonry in its members, Attraction and retention of members, Effective social outreach etc.

At the recently concluded Annual Communication of the District Grand Lodge of Bombay held on 14th March 2015, The Leslie Wilson Lodge No. 4880 EC, Pune received the Best Lodge Award for the year 2014-15 at the hands of the R.W.Bro. Percy Driver, District Grand Master.

This new initiative of the District is to encourage Lodges to strive further in their functioning and reward them for their hard work and dedication.
